Hardy Spicer 83 Judo Club has been in existence since 1972. From
day one until the present it has had members ranging in ages from

the Midland Area in the Junior National Championships. Indeed, so
successful has the Club been at providing players for the British

Until 1999 the Club trained in it’s own premises on
the Hardy Spicer Social Club site in Pype Hayes, Birmingham.
Sadly, an arson attack on the adjacent factory premises in November
1998
initially left the Club without power, and eventually resulted
in the Club premises collapsing due to subsidence during the
rebuilding of the factory.
The Club has now relocated to the church hall St Mary Church, Tyburn
Road, Pype Hayes, Birmingham.
